Sinfest by Tatsuya Ishida features excellent art with an awesome set of characters. It’s funny, edgy and freakishly consistent. It’s a daily strip with very few interruptions since its debut all the way back in 2000. I have to applaud the commitment and consistency of the creator. My favorite strips are the cat & dog ones but the other characters are all memorable in their own ways.

I wasn’t necessarily a fan when I first discovered Angry Little Girls by Lela Lee a few years back but upon rediscovering them, I find some of them pretty funny & insightful. Anger can be funny, that’s for sure.

Secret Asian Man by Tak Toyoshima was actually syndicated at one point as daily strip (of which all are collected in a nice book called The Daily Days) but has since returned to its webcomic roots as a weekly. Not necessarily always funny but it touches on different, thought provoking subjects.
