A Drummer’s Passion

A Drummer’s Passion directed by Toronto based Kim Mingu is an upcoming documentary about a 71 year old Korean drummer, Kwon Soon Keun. Below is copy and pasted directly from the facebook page.

“Kwon Soon Keun, the worldwide YouTube sensation, showcased his passion once again by putting on a concert to celebrate his 50th year of professional drumming. Kwon’s passion for drumming did not start on YouTube, but it had begun 58 years ago as a young Korean boy. His small ambition to help his parents turned him into a celebrity back in Korea, having played in a renowned band called ADD-4. Shortly after, he had immigrated to Canada and had lost his spotlight. He has struggled living as a Korean-Canadian but never gave up playing. After long years of living a low-profile immigrant life, his passion for drumming had finally paid off when the internet generation has found him. He’s now back in the spotlight at age 70.”
