Seoul Searching, Donate to the Indiegogo campaign

Seoul Searching is a teen comedy about Korean Americans in the 80s directed by Benson Lee. It focuses on a group of teens who are sent to summer camp in Seoul to learn about their heritage and is based on the director’s own experiences. Reviews for this film have been very positive but unfortunately because the film stars an all Asian American cast, the team behind the film could not secure the funding for distribution and this is where their Indiegogo campaign comes in. Justin Chon is probably the most recognizable actor in the cast but there is also a Canadian connection with actress Rosalina Leigh, a Toronto based actress who was discovered via Facebook. She portrays a Korean adoptee searching for her Korean parents. While I have obviously not seen the film, this looks really good and I strongly encourage those who can to donate. The backgrounds of the characters are very diverse with a Latino-Korean, another from Germany and a biracial Korean. This sort of diversity in the Asian American community is something that is never seen in mainstream movies.
