Veteran – Korean movie starts this Friday September 18 at Cineplex Forum

Veteran is a 2015 South Korean crime thriller action film directed and written by Ryoo Seung Wan. The cast is headed by actor Hwang Jung-min as a detective who enjoys catching bad guys and giving them a beating. The actor was also in one of Ryoo’s last films, The Unjust. Yoo Ah-in also stars as the main antagonist. The movie has been a huge success in South Korea (currently its the 7th highest grossing Korean film of all time) and some English language reviews have been very positive about this film. Screenings start this Friday, September 18 at Cineplex Forum in Montreal and at theaters in many other major North American cities.

Update: Just saw it and it’s a pretty entertaining popcorn flick with some good action scenes and humorous moments and the story makes you really hate the antagonist in this typical poor cop vs rich spoiled boy executive showdown.
