Free shows @ Montreal Jazz Festival 2016

Here are a few free shows where musicians of East-Asian descent are performing.

Denis Chang

He is a Taiwanese Gypsy jazz guitarist who grew up in Montreal.

Melina Soochan

This isn’t free but the price is low at $10. She is a Montreal singer who will have a series of shows. She is a versatile talent with the ability to sing in many different genres. The venue is a restaurant/bar so you will have to buy food or drinks.

Soil & “Pimp” Sessions

The band is a sextet from Tokyo. They define their music as “death jazz.”
