These works predicted our lives in 2020

Quarantine during these COVID-19 times was unexpected by many but I found some works from the past that predicted what our lives would be like now.

The 2m social distancing rule comes up in various Asian dramas.

Esa Fung grew up in Montreal but is now based in Toronto. He was formerly a very popular creator on Vine before that was shut down. He creates humorous content on youtube. Here’s an informative interview with him.

CantoMando – youtube channel

CantoMando was founded by three Asian Canadians (at least from what I could tell from various webpages like this one). They make videos about the Canadian Chinese experience.

BgA takes a dump on the Kpop world

Nugu group BgA (Boys generally Asian) just unleashed their totally serious Kpop video to massive cheers and toilet flushes. But it’s all in good fun for this song about needing to drop some doodoo.

Yellow Fever 2 – Wong Fu Productions

I remember watching the first Yellow Fever video and finding it to be a good combination of humor and honesty. This sequel is okay but does not really expand much. There are also some points in it that I disagree with because I don’t think they reflect reality.
